L I R I O P E S :
Most Liriopes grow to a height between 25 to 45 cms. Liriope muscari generally grows in clump form and will spread to about 30 to 45 cms wide. Liriope spicata spreads rapidly by underground stems and will cover a wide area. Because of its rapid spread, Liriope spicata is not suitable for edging but is excellent as a groundcover.

A hardy evergreen tuberous clumping perennial with dark green strap-like leaves and showy spikes of lavender - purple flowers from summer to autumn. Grows to 30 cm high and 45 cm wide. Prefers partial to full shade with well drained soil and protection from wind. Will tolerate dry periods. Excellent for border or groundcover, as mass underplanting and in large pots.

A very hardy grass like perennial with deep green foliage and deep purple flower spikes rising from the centre of each clump. Flowers from early summer to autumn, Grows to a height of 35-40 cm and up to 45cm wide. This is an excellent border or groundcover plant and works well as a clumping plant for the rock garden. Extremely frost tolerant. Prefers partial to full shade, well drained soil and protection from the wind. Will tolerate dry periods.

An attractive evergreen perennial ground cover with arching grass-like foliage. Abundant blue flower spikes rise above the foliage in summer. Grows to a height of 60 cm. Useful as a groundcover, under trees and shrubs and suits massed planting.

This evergreen perennial forms clumps of gold edged arching leaves with lavender flower spikes. The leaves are wider than other muscari varieties. Grows to a height of 35 cm. It is an excellent groundcover and as an accent plant.

Solid green leaves approximately 30-35 cm long with clustered spikes of white flowers. Mature plant size up to 30 cm high and 45cm wide. Clumps spread moderately. Prefers partial to full shade, well drained soil and protection from the wind. Tolerates dry periods. Lovely as a border or groundcover.

Evergreen perennial with strappy green leaves and stems of bell-shaped, pink flowers from early summer to autumn. Grows to 30-60 cm high and 45 cm wide. Enjoys full sun to part shade. Easily grown in well drained soil in full sun to part shade. Tolerates frost and coastal conditions. Excellent for pots, rockeries and borders.

Used extensively as a landscape plant for its beautiful dark green strap-like foliage with a profusion of violet/purple flower spikes from summer well into Autumn. Tidy clumping habit growing to 50 cm. Suits well drained soil in full sun to shade. Tolerates frost and coastal conditions with minimal care required. A popular edging plant that looks great planted in rows or massed plantings under trees. Very suitable for containers.

This evergreen perennial has green grass-like leaves with spikes of pale violet to lilac flowers. Spicata will tolerate full sun or drier conditions in partial shade. Grows to 45 cm. With its spreading habit, this plant is excellent as a groundcover and for erosion control on banks.

Evergreen grass-like perennial that is popular for its striking white and green variegation. Short dense spikes of pale lavender flowers in summer. Grows to a height of 45 cm. Well suited as a ground cover as it forms a broad dense carpet. Position in full sun to partial shade. Very tolerant of adverse conditions. Can be invasive.

Evergreen grass with finer dark green leaves than the other varieties. Makes a beautiful dense mat with lilac flowers in summer. Grows to a height of 45 cm. Superb as weed suppressing ground cover, for in-filling, under planting and minimising erosion.
